dinner conversations with my kids

Alyssa: when is lexi coming home?
Mom: I am not sure...I don't have a car to pick her up.
JT: what if they keep her forever?

(I think JT and Alyssa are actually missing Alexis...and it has only been 24 hours!)

Alyssa: Hey Mom...you should go to Virginia College (it's not in Virginia).
Mom: why would I do that?
Alyssa: so you can get a job!

pause....

Alyssa: on second thought, you probably shouldn't because then you would meet attractive men!
Mom: silence
